Meet the team

Meet the faces behind NeuroTalk, here we believe that small changes can make a huge difference. Our team is passionate about empowering teens, young adults, and adults to communicate effectively, whether it’s improving speech clarity, boosting confidence, or finding innovative solutions to everyday challenges.
Communication is not just talking, it is a fundamental part of life, it is how we connect and build relationships. At NeuroTalk we believe that every person is entitled to a functional and meaningful way of communicating in whichever form it may take
.

Our approach is warm, evidence-based, and always person-centered.

  • Samara Steele (MSLP, CPSP)

My name is Samara, and I am a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist servicing Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast. I completed a Master of Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand before returning home to Australia to practice.

I am passionate about taking a strengths-based, client-centered approach, working closely with individuals and their families to help them reach their full potential. While I have experience across all ages, my particular focus is on supporting teenagers and adults with communication needs.

I am especially dedicated to helping young people and adults with disabilities develop functional communication skills that allow them to connect with others, build confidence, and participate more fully in their community. I strongly believe communication is key to independence, and I strive to provide therapy that empowers my clients in their everyday lives.

My experience includes supporting individuals with a range of needs across speech, language, literacy, social communication, voice (with a particular interest in Parkinson’s voice therapy), functional communication, and feeding. I also have extensive experience working with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Selective Mutism, Cerebral Palsy, and Intellectual Disability.

I am committed to helping every client find their own unique voice and to providing therapy that is meaningful, practical, and tailored to their goals.

  • Bethan Grant (MSLP, CPSP)

My name is Bethan, and I am a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist servicing Brisbane and surrounding areas. I completed a Master of Speech and Language Pathology in New Zealand before relocating to Australia in 2024 to continue my clinical work.

I am passionate about supporting individuals to navigate challenges with communication, voice, and swallowing in ways that feel practical, empowering, and meaningful. I take a person-centred, strengths-based approach, working closely with clients and their families to ensure therapy aligns with their goals, lifestyle, and priorities.

I have a particular interest in working with adults with neurological conditions, especially Parkinson’s disease, supporting voice, speech clarity, and functional communication. I am also a strong advocate for people living with aphasia and am dedicated to helping individuals regain confidence and independence in their communication following neurological change.

My experience includes assessment and intervention across speech, language, voice, swallowing, and functional communication. I strive to provide therapy that is evidence-based, supportive, and tailored to each individual’s needs - helping clients feel confident not only in the clinic, but in their everyday lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, running, and exploring the outdoors. I believe in the importance of balance and bringing energy, positivity, and compassion into the work I do.

Above all, I am committed to helping each person feel heard, understood, and confident in their ability to communicate and live fully.
